A windy Cape Point Tour
A windy Cape Point Tour

Another epic Cape Peninsula Tour, this time with a group of Chinese students that are studying Chemistry in the UK. Starting from Cape Town, we made our way past the Atlantic Seaboard, straight to Hout Bay for a seal island boat trip. In true Cape Town weather it was windy but warm.

The Duiker Seal Island trip was beautiful and Gloria and her friends loved the short trip to see thousands of seals basking in the sun, others frolicking in the waters and the pups playing around the boat as it was stationed around the island.

From then we landed up on one of the most awesome drives, for us its everyday, but for our visitors it was one of the best views they had seen. We stopped for photo’s and moved on towards Cape Point. Driving through Misty Cliffs towards Scarborough, we stopped for a beach stop. My guests took their shoes off and put feet to the sand and took a walk on Scarborough beach, experiencing the white sands and chilly waters.

We arrived at Cape Point Nature Reserve, bumped into ostriches, Β Chacma baboons and the typical fauna and flora the nature reserve has to offer. My guests went up to the lighthouse and took in the views, the point and marveled in creating more awesome memories in our Mother City.

The two biggest highlights of the day was the baboon holding the Chinese flag,Β almost posing for our guests to share with family at home, second highlight was visiting the African Penguin at Boulders Beach.

After visiting at all the stops we made our way back home to their hotel in Cape Town. It was a pleasure taking Gloria, Louise , Zhao and Jack around Cape Point. And my hood.

Its always so refreshing to come across a group of young students that ask questions about our History, that love wildlife and appreciate what we have to offer.

I wish them all well at their studies and look forward to welcoming them back, for their second visit!
