What a great day this tour turned out to be with the perfect ending of a glorious Cape Town Table Mountain sunset.
This tour was a group of four friends from the UK all travelling together to Cape Town for the first time. The group of Mike, Karen, Michelle and Laura were staying in the South and were very pressed for time and had not done Table Mountain yet and they were leaving the next day. The Table mountain tour normally on offer with Guided Cape Town Tours consists of a Cape Town city tour as well, however as the group had walked the city extensively already all they wanted to do was see Table Mountain. So we left around 2pm and headed toward Table Mountain over the infamousΒ Chapman’s Peak DriveΒ , with time for a quick group shot – with me included!
And so we went up the mountain in the cable car …..
The timing of journey up could not have been better as we got to enjoy the splendorous views with a gorgeous sunset in perfect weather.
Table Mountain is not officially a natural wonder of the world – but this Capetonian says differently!
Some fast facts about the Mountain:
More than 800 people can enjoy the trip every hour
The floor of the circular cabin rotates to allow travellers 360Β° views
Approximately 909 000 visitors from all over the world use the Cableway annually
