The moment we arrived, it was clear: Waterford is opulent, but not intimidating. It has a luxurious feel, yet it’s refreshingly unpretentious. Nestled in serene surroundings, the estate feels like a sanctuary. From the stunning location to the exceptional service, everything is crafted with care.
A chilled bottle of bubbly welcomed us, setting the tone for what lay ahead. We sipped in the courtyard, the gentle sounds of a water fountain adding to the ambiance. It was tranquil. It was inviting. Then came Kenneth, our guide. He wasn’t just a guide—he was a host, welcoming us as though into his own home.
The day was scorching, and we eagerly finished our bubbly before heading to the winery. Inside, we explored the fascinating wine-making process. Every detail was deliberate. Every step was thoughtful. What impressed me most was Waterford’s commitment to sustainability. Nothing goes to waste. From reusing materials to implementing an in-house water filtration system, this estate is as eco-conscious as it is elegant.

On the deck, more white linens, more treats, and, of course, more wine. This was where we met Waterford’s crown jewel: the Waterford Gem. The wines, the setting, the explanations—it all blended into an extraordinary experience.
The final chapter of our adventure brought us back to the courtyard. But this time, it was all about indulgence. Homemade chocolates, each infused with unique flavors (salt rock chocolate was a standout!), paired with three new wines. It was a sensory masterpiece and the perfect conclusion to the day.
